The two building high rise is located in Puerto Juarez, a small fishing village north of town with not-so-picturesque lower class houses. Once you arrive through the front gate, however, you find a nice condo set on a huge beachfront parcel.

La Playa's condos are spacious and fairly well built - size-wise you would be paying almost double to get the same in the hotel zone. They're also designed to be lived in, complete with maids quarters, large terraces and a playground for kids - all of which makes La Playa a great option for anyone looking for space, great views and the ability to get to town in minutes - and of course isn’t an "address snob."

-Very reasonable prices when compared to the hotel zone.
-Lots of activities on site.
-Five minute walk to Isla Mujeres Ferry.

Cons

-Units include few appliances and furnishings are sparse.
-Immediate neighborhood outside the gate is not the most attractive.

La Playa consists of two ten-story neon-lit towers situated 20 meters from the shore with 120 large condos, 12 villas and 8 petnhouses on offer. La Playa's motto "The best of both worlds" refers to it's beachside location and easy access to downtown Cancun, less than a mile away.
